Stable Managment: July 2nd-July 6th $250.00
Students will learn everyday skills needed to manage a horse farm. Including but not limited to, cleaning the barn, horse care and basic first aid, and horse nutrition.
Horse Show: July 9th-July 13th $450.00
Students will learn what is involved with hosting and managing a horse show. As well as preparing horse and rider to participate in a horse show. Students will participate in a rated off-farm horseshow and will host a mock show on friday for friends and family. (cost of week includes coaching fees, shipping, and horse use fees for off-farm horseshow. Class fees at the show are additional)
Trails and Outdoor Riding: July 16th- July 20th $250.00
Students will learn saftey skills for riding on trails and outdoors. They will learn proper ettiquite for riding through permissioned land. Students will learn different types of outdoor activities and will volunteer their time to a local horse organization.
Western Horsemanship: July 23-July 27th $350.00
Students will learn the different western disciplines including but not limited to, weastern pleasure, reining, trail, cutting, ect. Students will ride in western attire/tack all week. On Friday students will participate in a fun Dreaming Tree Farm western horse show.
2012 Equestrian Olympics: July 30th-Aug 3rd $350.00
Students will learn the different Equine related disciplines competing at the 2012 London Olympics. Friday will be a fun Dreaming Tree Olympics day where students will particpate in equestrian events including an awards ceremonies.
Natural Horsemanship: Aug 6th-Aug 10th $250.00
Students will learn how to "read" their horses body language, how to "join up" with their horse using ground work techniques. Instruction will include fun games, T-Touch, and massage techniques.
Breeds and Breeding: Aug 13th-Aug 17th $250.00
Students will learn the different types of horse breeds, their historical uses. Students will learn about mares, foals, and stallions. A breed related field trip is expected.
Gymkhana: Aug 20th- Aug 24th $350.00
GAMES WEEK! Students will learn about different types of games via horses. Students will learn the different skills necessary for success at the games. Each Student will invent their own games to be presented and used on Friday in a final Gymkhana day with prizes!
